Lighting Global
Lighting Global is a partnership between the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation. They were looking for a modern website design that would clearly communicate their mission and provide current and potential partners the information they need to be part of this off-grid lighting community.

Discovery & Research
II provided an in-depth usability review of the Lighting Global website and documented issues for users as they related to content, design, functionality, and navigation. Additionally, I reviewed Google Analytics and had detailed discussions with stakeholders about the project goals and their user needs.
Wireframes
The most important wireframes for this website were for the Products page. The target audiences had very specific details that they needed to be able to filter by when viewing products. The old website used an e-commerce platform which was very misleading: it made it appear that a user could purchase products on the site, which is not the case. I cleaned up the filtering structure so that it was clearer to the user what could be filtered and how many items in each category they could expect to find. On the product pages, it was clearly indicated where users could get purchase information about the products.
Results
At the end of this project, the Lighting Global team had a beautifully designed website with streamlined structure and navigation that reflected their mission and brand.
